Taking Action on Paint Strippers: Retailers & Suppliers Report from the Field

Paint strippers made headlines in the US last year.  But it’s not that easy to identify, market & adopt safer alternatives.  Come learn from Kingfisher about the EU experience following regulation of paitn strippers containing methylene chloride in 2012.  Lowe’s will discuss its efforts to eliminate paitn strippers containing methylene chloride & NMP.  The Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) will share research about regrettable substitutes currently on the market.  Start-up remooble & TURI will discuss paint stripper alternatives they have developed & the challenges they face in market adoption.
